Greeting from CEO

Greetings from the CEO of Regards Japan

Greetings from Kenji Konishi of Regards Japan Co. Ltd.

Kenji Konishi of Regards Japan Co. Ltd.

After studying mechanical engineering at university, I joined the Japanese subsidiary of a Swiss capital manufacturer of sensors for industrial process automation, where I worked for over 10 years. During that time I moved through manufacturing and into marketing, where I was in charge of introducing products to the Japanese market, such as flow meters, level gauges, and pressure gauges that were produced by our affiliated companies in Switzerland, Germany, and the US.

Next, I moved on to the Japanese subsidiary of a German manufacturer of fluid control systems. There, I handled a wide variety of roles for industrial valves and sensor products. My work ranged from product introduction and sales promotion to supply chain management and quality services, and my contributions were instrumental in expanding our fledgling Japanese subsidiary and earning our share in the domestic Japanese market.

For my latter five years there, I would go on to take up the position of Representative of the Japanese subsidiary. During my tenure as Representative, I also obtained my MBA (specializing in international business) and became deeply involved in specialized, practical organization growth management. I also served a brief but rewarding assignment in gas turbine services with a major German energy corporation.

I believe that the most important thing I learned during my experience with foreign capital Japanese subsidiaries is a worldwide business fundamental that is particularly crucial for the success of a foreign capital business in Japan – always remain customer oriented. This does not simply apply to the finished product at the moment of sale, but rather must be applied to all processes throughout the business. The key issue is how to root a business strategy in the local market. Yet, it is true that many businesses face serious practical issues in this area.

Our style is to become a team member of each and every client, as we develop strategies and execute efficient, sensible plans, while also bringing the strong points of Japan’s customer-focused culture into our client’s vision and mission. We are with you every step along the path to success.

Best regards, and brightest wishes for the future.

Kenji Konishi, Corporate Representative of Regards Japan
